August 4th, 2013 Mark and I went on a Carnival Cruise with his family. It was a great getaway. It was a 7 day cruise to Mexico, Honduras and Belize. We went to Mahogany Bay, Isle of Roatan and Cozumel and Belize of course. It was hot and humid but it was very pretty. Seven days was almost too long on a boat but I didn't get sea sick cause I was on Dramamine the whole time which in turn made me drowsy a lot of the time. I was going to sleep and Mark was off to the Casino for a couple of hours. Mark won a game of Bingo, (not without shaking his bingo booty in front of everyone to help him win) and won $650 and me a massage/facial at the Spa! it was awesome for both of us! This was our first of many vacations together.
Tuesday, February 26th we went to the Mavericks game via the TRE. We hadnt done much all weekend so Mark decided we would do something different! I loved the idea. Well the Mavericks lost but we still had a blast, everyone around us was on the jumbotron except us. Well turns out that we arent too great at reading the TRE train schedule. We ended up staying for the entire game and catching the last train back but didnt read that the it wouldnt take us all the way back to Richland Hills where we parked the car. OOOPPPPSSSS!!!!
So Andrea to the rescue, she picked us up at the downtown irving station and took us to the car. I love her, the kind of friend that is always there for you, like I hope I am to her. April fools day was a memorable one this year. Not cause someone played a joke on me, actually it would be pretty funny and terrible at the same time if he was joking! Ha
He isnt....He actually wants to grow old with me and I with him! God knew what he was doing all along I was just getting impatient and giving up on finding a man that would be perfect for me. Obviously God wasnt done preparing Mark and I for each other. He got down on one knee in Japanese Gardens and proposed and I couldnt be happier. He picked out a gorgeous ring all by himself. I couldnt ask for a better man, he is completely respectful and playful with me and my family loves him and vice versa. We are planning for a Spring wedding in 2014, so I guess I need to get to planning, but for now Im planning on leaving for Europe tomorrow and a Cruise with my mom and grandma and then a Cruise in August with Marks family. Big year this has already been! I will post pictures as soon as I get a chance. My first attempt at bingo was fun. I didn't win anything but Mark won a $25 pot, so that was cool. The stereotype of only old folks play bingo isn't do true. There were an equal amount of old and young folks playing. Hee hee
Next time I'll have to go with grandma, I know she would love that. I got to also spend time with dad and Judy this weekend, I cooked a roast all day and it was yummy. Dad made a fruit pizza that was delicious too. March 13th was his birthday, but he had to work so we went to lunch before. We went to our favorite Hibachi place in Burleson. On Sunday we went to PF Changs with my family for his birthday and had a great time. Monday the 18th we went fishing on Lake Ray Hubbard. I rented a pontoon boat, it was very windy and cold and we didnt catch a thing but it was a lot of fun. Next time we go hopefully it is warmer and we get some minnows to fish with, maybe then we will have a little bit more luck than fishing with worms. But I dont know, ive only ever fished with worms and had the same luck. Ha! Afterwards we went to the Harbor shopping center off the Lake and ate at Campisis, they have some delicious pizza! Most of the shops there have closed down so we didnt stay long. Here are a few pictures! Love ya |
